The 27th International Junior Team Cup took place in Berlin on 22 and 23 March 2024. A total of 114 gymnasts from 20 countries - Austria, Italy, Switzerland, USA, Great Britain, Hungary, France, Brazil, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Spain, Norway, Canada, Israel, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Ukraine and Germany (in addition to the Germany 1 and 2 teams, teams from Bavaria, Berlin, Cottbus, Chemnitz and Halle also took part in the competitions).
On the first day of the competition, the individual winners in the all-around competition and the winners in the team competition, and on the second day the individual winners in the final competitions on the apparatus were determined.
In the team competition, the most important and eponymous competition of the tournament, the team from Austria won this time ahead of the teams from Italy and Switzerland. Last year's winners, the USA, came fourth.
Preston Ngai from the USA (79.450 points) was the individual winner in age group 1, which had a very strong field of 65 gymnasts, ahead of Alfred Schwaiger from Austria (78.800 points) and Manuel Berettera from Italy (78.150 points).
In age group 2, Riccardo Ruggeri from Italy (76.500 points) won ahead of Thomas Tittley from Canada (75.550 points) and Evan McPhilips from Great Britain (75.000 points).
Volodymyr Golovin from Ukraine (79.900 points) won age group 3 by a clear margin ahead of Dominick Camarena from the USA (70.850 points) and Josef Jaffer from Team Germany (69.200 points)
The most successful gymnast from age group 1 in the apparatus finals was Preston Ngai from the USA with 2 gold and 2 silver medals. In age group 2 it was Riccardo Ruggeri from Italy with 2x gold, 2x silver and 1x bronze. The most successful gymnast in age group 3 and the entire tournament was Volodymyr Golovin from the Ukraine, who won 4x gold and 2x silver in the finals.
We have been photographing the event, like we do it since 2009, i.e. for 15 years now. As usual, the photos (20,905 in total) are digitally processed and sorted by nation and participant.
