Cottbus in the Lausitz - On the weekend of 24 and 25 September, gymnasts from numerous nations met in the Lausitz Arena in Cottbus to compete for the egWohnen JuniorsTrophy. The event took place for the 35th time and thus celebrated a small anniversary, to which we also contribute our congratulations.

Even though the event was held on a somewhat smaller scale this year, with only 10 nations in total - Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany - competing, it was still an eventful competition that was, as always, professionally run by the host.

A total of 75 gymnasts, of which the Czech Republic was the strongest with 17 young gymnasts, competed in three age groups for the all-around victory and the title of team winner as well as for the places in the finals on the individual apparatus.

The British dominated the all-around in all three rounds and in the end deservedly won the team title ahead of the strong Hungarians in second place. The team from SC Cottbus came third thanks to a good team performance.

On Sunday, the annual 35th egWohnen Juniors Trophy ended as usual with a barbecue in sunshine and best weather.
